A sometimes comic, frequently searing, and ultimately hopeful coming of age story set during a rain-soaked afternoon in South Africa. Fugard's masterpiece is a powerful examination of the impact of apartheid on the close friendship between young Hally, a teenager from a fractured family trying to find his place, and two black servants.

The St. Lawrence String Quartet is one of the most distinguished string quartets of its generation. Their recordings have garnered many accolades, including the prestigious German critics' award, the Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik, a Canadian Juno Award, and two Grammy nominations. Known for its commitment to the works of emerging and living composers, the St. Lawrence marks its 20th anniversary performing John Adam's new String Quartet, composed especially for the quartet by the world-renowned, New England native, as well as other works from the emsemble's vast repertoire.
