The Dining Experience

The Maine Sunday Telegram summed up the dining experience perfectly, starting with a description of arriving at the Hotel: "Our car slips into the underground garage at the Portland Harbor Hotel and curls alongside the valet station. Upstairs, the maitre d' takes our coats and ushers us to a dining table. The chairs are ultra comfortable -- two are upholstered; two are leather and dark wood. Loveseats, table lamps and a fireplace also occupy this octagonal room just off the hotel lobby, encouraging diversions besides dining. One could easily sip cognac while reading, or enjoy a cocktail with friends at the 10-stool bar."

Our menus change seasonally and when weather permits, guests may dine in our courtyard garden.

For breakfast we are well known for our Seafood Eggs Benedict with either lobster or crab and for lunch we have a nice mix of salads, chowder and sandwiches as well as light entrees. Our dinner menu highlights Maine's seafood, great cuts of meat and local greens when in season.

Happy Hour is offered Monday through Friday from 4-7 p.m. with wines, specialty drinks and martinis for just $5.
