The new Luxury Standard for Portland Hotels
Located in Old Port - in Portland Maine

Renovations

We have made great progress on our renovations this winter. Our improved main entrance and new lobby area will be revealed at the end of March, and upgrades to all of our guest rooms will be complete by the end of April.

The work on the hotel facade and main entrance has involved the closure of the entrance used by pedestrians (the corner of Fore St. and Union St.). During this time, guests will be able to access the hotel through our valet parking entrance on Fore St., just 25 ft. away.

We are keeping disruptions to a minimum with no weekend or nighttime work. In addition, upgrades to the guest rooms has been done on several floors at a time, with no rooms available on those floors during construction, so you will never be in a room near the construction. This will ensure that you will continue to experience the same level of service and comfort that the Portland Harbor Hotel has become known for. We apologize for any inconvenience the renovations may cause.

The restaurant and bar will remain open and will not be affected in any way. Our outdoor courtyard garden with firepit will remain a tranquil spot for a cocktail or a hot chocolate, and our chef's ever-changing menu will continue to tempt diners for breakfast, lunch and dinner

When our renovations are complete the lobby will connect the Portland Harbor Hotel to the charm of the Old Port with expanded windows overlooking Fore St., bringing some of the outdoors in. Adding to that connection to our location, the new color palette is inspired by the sea.

Our new, expanded lobby area will feature cozy sitting areas where guests may choose to relax with a cup of coffee or with a cocktail. In addtion, each guest room floor will feature its own pantry with fresh hot coffee, tea, water and more.
